The focus goes beyond vehicle sales, extending to investment, manufacturing, and contributions to regional revenue. <\/p>\n\n<p>West Java Deputy Governor, Erwan Setiawan, stated that the provincial government is preparing the northern region as a new manufacturing hub. The area is considered strategic due to its proximity to Patimban Port in Subang Regency and Kertajati Airport in Majalengka Regency, complementing Karawang\u2019s long-standing role as an automotive production center. He mentioned that the operation of BYD\u2019s factory in Subang is one of the initial steps, with hopes that other investors will also be attracted to West Java.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The contribution of the automotive industry to regional revenue (PAD) shows a positive signal. By the end of September 2025, vehicle taxes and transfer of ownership fees contributed IDR 6.5 trillion. This figure reflects the significant role of the automotive sector in the regional economy, both through public consumption and industrial activities.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO), Putu Juli Ardika, emphasized that West Java is one of the most important regions for the national automotive industry. Beyond being the market with the largest number of vehicles, West Java also serves as a manufacturing hub supporting the supply chain. According to him, the <em>GIIAS Bandung 2025<\/em> provides an opportunity for industry players to get closer to consumers while strengthening relations with the local government.  <\/p>\n\n<p>With West Java\u2019s position as a large market and a strategic location for investment, the development of the automotive ecosystem in the province is expected to continue. The government\u2019s focus on infrastructure and the support of industry associations provide a strong foundation for long-term growth.
