TMMIN has exported its three-millionth completely built-up (CBU) vehicle since the first shipment in 1987.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The export release ceremony took place at the Karawang Plant 1 on Wednesday (October 9). It was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, several government officials, and executives from Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Toyota Group.<\/p>\n\n<p>To date, vehicles made in Indonesia have reached more than 100 markets worldwide. This achievement strengthens Indonesia\u2019s role as a competitive regional production hub and reaffirms the manufacturing sector\u2019s contribution to the country\u2019s non-oil and gas exports. <\/p>\n\n<p>TMC President Koji Sato emphasized that this accomplishment is proof of the capability of Indonesian human resources in producing world-class products. \u201cThe achievement of three million exported vehicles is a reminder of Indonesia\u2019s remarkable capability, showcasing the quality of what we have produced here,\u201d he said.  <\/p>\n\n<p>He added that Toyota is committed to strengthening Indonesia\u2019s role as a research and development (R&amp;D) and export hub for the Global South region.<\/p>\n\n<p>TMMIN President Director Nandi Julyanto stated that collaboration across the national industry has been the key to successful exports and the strengthening of Indonesia\u2019s automotive supply chain. \u201cThanks to the strength of our manufacturing industry and commitment to quality, Toyota Indonesia has produced 10 million units and exported three million vehicles, proving that Indonesian talent is ready to compete in the global market with world-class products,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n<p>Toyota Indonesia partners with more than 240 local tier-1 suppliers and over 520 tier-2 and tier-3 suppliers, with a local content level now exceeding 80 percent. Toyota Group\u2019s investments in Indonesia, which have reached around IDR 100 trillion, also involve more than 360,000 workers across various sectors \u2014 from production and supply chain to distribution and after-sales services. This collaboration not only strengthens the independence of the national automotive industry but also makes a tangible contribution to economic growth and public welfare.
