Data from the Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO) shows that BYD delivered 10,593 units via wholesale\u2014far above its September figure of just 1,088 units. The spike places BYD in third position, behind Toyota and Daihatsu. <\/p>\n\nBYD\u2019s retail sales also recorded significant growth. In September 2025, the company delivered 2,036 units to consumers, rising to 9,732 units in October. This achievement puts BYD ahead of Honda and Mitsubishi in the national retail sales ranking. <\/p>\n\n
BYD\u2019s rapid movement brings the Shenzhen-based automaker closer to Daihatsu, which holds second place. Toyota continues to lead the market with no change at the top. The list of best-selling cars for October 2025 shows that Japanese brands still dominate, but BYD\u2019s presence is reshaping the market landscape. <\/p>\n\n
In the whole sale rankings for October 2025, Toyota secured first place with 20,559 units. Daihatsu followed in second with 11,783 units, while BYD ranked third. Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, and Honda trailed behind in factory-to-dealer distribution. <\/p>\n\n
In retail sales, Toyota booked 21,504 units sold to consumers. Daihatsu took second place with 12,196 units, while BYD held third. Mitsubishi Motors and Suzuki rounded out the top five. <\/p>\n\n
BYD\u2019s sales jump was driven by the Atto 1, which began deliveries in October 2025. The model drew attention because the selling price of the Dynamic variant is lower than its NJKB (Nilai Jual Kendaraan Bermotor), the government\u2019s reference value for vehicle tax calculations. The Atto 1\u2019s NJKB ranges from Rp 218 million to Rp 233 million, while its official prices are Rp 195 million for the Dynamic variant and Rp 235 million for the Premium variant. (*) (*)<\/p>\n\n
