BMW 730Li Made in Indonesia Rolled out

JAKARTA— The Indonesian manufactured BMW 730Li was rolled out late November 2016. This model is assembled by BMW Production Network 2 at PT Gaya Motor (Sunter), North Jakarta.

President Director of BMW Group Indonesia Karen Lim said BMW Group Indonesia since 2011 invested more than 210 billion to increase the number of BMW models produced in Indonesia.

“This is a historic record for BMW Indonesia. For the first time in 15 years of the founding of our BMW Indonesia we launch BMW 7 Series production of Indonesia,” she said.

The BMW 740Li’s price is set at about IDR 2.4 billion off the road. Since its launch in 2015 in the world market, this model gets a promising future. Demand continues to rise. That is the reason BMW 740Li BMW resumes production in Indonesia. According to the Head of Communication BMW Group Indonesia Jodie O’tania, besides Indonesia the BMW 7 Series is also manufactured in Thailand.

BMW Production Network 2 Management Production Partner for Indonesia Albert Reichl said the BMW car production in Indonesia is supported by experts from the German manufacturer. It took a year for training of assembly processes and quality control.

“At BMW Production Network 2 (Gaya Motor), we can assemble up to six units of the all-new BME 730Li per day,” said Albert Riechl. (*)
