Indonesian National Police: Safe Homecoming Trip, Happy Families for More Memorable Eid

JAKARTA— “Safe Homecoming Trip, Happy Families” is becomingg the tagline of the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesian National Police (POLRI). The Head of Korlantas (Kakorkantas), Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, made this statement in welcoming the Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran) homecoming and return journeys, which will occur around 18 March 2026.

According to him, the tagline implies that safety while traveling is the key to bringing joy when gathering with family during the holidays. Without safety, that joy will not be complete.

This call is a follow-up to and direct instruction from the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (KAPOLRI). It urges all Polri personnel to provide maximum service to the public and ensure that the implementation of homecoming security is optimal, humane, and professional. This tagline was launched on March 3, 2026.

With the spirit of “Safe Homecoming, Comfortable Travel, and a More Memorable Eid al-Fitr,” Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho encouraged all Indonesians to make the homecoming trip a safe, orderly, and mindful one. He emphasized that safety must be the top priority for every traveler.

Homecoming is not just an annual tradition, but a sacred moment to strengthen relationships. Therefore, the public is urged to prepare for their journey thoroughly, ensuring they are in prime physical condition, their vehicles are roadworthy, and their driving administration is complete.

The Head of the Traffic Corps also emphasized the importance of traffic discipline, obeying traffic signs and officer directions, and not pushing oneself when tired. The National Police, along with all stakeholders, have prepared various traffic engineering measures, security posts, and integrated services to ensure a smooth homecoming journey.

“Safety is a shared responsibility. Order on the roads determines the safety of ourselves and others. Let’s ensure a safe homecoming so that families are happy and Eid al-Fitr truly memorable,” he said.

Through collaboration between officials and the public, it is hoped that the homecoming and return journeys will run smoothly, with minimal accidents, and create an orderly and empathetic atmosphere.
