JAKARTA— Truck manufacturer UD Trucks, a member of the Astra Group, has established a strategic partnership with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga. This collaboration aims to strengthen the national energy logistics system. The signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) took place in Jakarta on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. This collaboration focuses on improving the reliability of the fuel and energy distribution truck fleet to various regions in Indonesia.
Astra UD Trucks Chief Executive Bambang Widjanarko said this partnership is part of the company’s efforts to provide commercial transportation solutions for strategic sectors. “With integrated after-sales support, certified technicians, and the use of operational data, Astra UD Trucks is committed to ensuring that its customers’ fleets are always ready to operate safely and optimally,” said Bambang.
As a national distributor of energy products, Pertamina Patra Niaga relies on its truck fleet to ensure a smooth supply of fuel and energy. In this partnership, Astra UD Trucks provides technical support, including standardized fleet maintenance, data-driven monitoring, and enhanced driver and vehicle safety.
One key focus of this partnership is Pertamina Patra Niaga’s role in centrally establishing fleet maintenance policies and standards. This approach aims to ensure consistent fleet management across all affiliates, consortia, and subsidiaries within Pertamina Patra Niaga.
Currently, Pertamina Patra Niaga’s commercial vehicle fleet operates in several key regions, from Java and Sumatra to Eastern Indonesia. Going forward, fleet requirements are expected to continue to grow in line with rising national energy demand. Amid increasingly complex logistics challenges and growing energy needs, collaboration between the automotive industry and the energy sector is considered a key factor in maintaining effective national distribution.
