JAKARTA — Car manufacturer Wuling Motors is taking part in the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) 2026 to showcase its line of commercial vehicles targeting the needs of businesses in Indonesia. The exhibition, which took place from 8-11 April 2026, at JIExpo Kemayoran (North Jakarta), provided a platform for Wuling to introduce mobility solutions based on conventional and electric vehicles.
Wuling presented two main models—the Formo Max and the Mitra EV. Both are intended to address the increasingly diverse needs of businesses, from goods distribution to electric vehicle-based services.
Aditya Triananto, Wuling Motors Fleet & Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager, said Wuling’s participation in this exhibition reflects the company’s efforts to present vehicles relevant to market needs. “We are offering two lines of commercial vehicles that support various business needs in Indonesia,” he said.
The Formo Max is a pickup-style light commercial vehicle introduced in 2023. This model is designed to support business activities with its large carrying capacity and ease of use and maintenance. Furthermore, fuel efficiency is one of the Formo Max’s key strengths. This vehicle is designed to support daily business operations, enabling them to be more productive while maintaining controlled operating costs.
Meanwhile, Wuling also introduced the Mitra EV, an electric commercial vehicle, in 2025. This model aims to address the need for more environmentally friendly and efficient transportation in the long term. The Mitra EV is available in two variants: a minibus and a blind van, with ranges of up to 300 kilometers and 400 kilometers on a single charge. Its cargo capacity of up to 6.5 cubic meters is another advantage for supporting distribution activities.
The Mitra EV is showcased in various bodywork applications to demonstrate its versatility. These applications include logistics, medical services, cold chain services, and public transportation such as microtransport. Wuling also provides a vehicle test drive for visitors to experience the Mitra EV’s performance firsthand. This step is part of the company’s efforts to introduce electric vehicles to businesses.
Wuling is also offering a sales program during the exhibition. This program gives customers who order a vehicle the opportunity to participate in the Lucky Dip program, which offers various attractive prizes, such as an 11″ Huawei MatePad SE, a 32″ Smart TV, and up to IDR 1 million in e-wallet funds. This program is valid throughout the exhibition period, with terms and conditions applying. (REPUBLIKA)
