Indonesia’s Vehicle Whole Sales, January–December 2025

Indonesia’s automotive whole sales market in 2025 showed solid momentum with a clear market leader and increasingly diverse brand participation. Toyota remained at the top with wholesales reaching 250,431 units, supported by its wide product range and strong dealer network. Daihatsu followed with 130,677 units, continuing to benefit from steady demand in the entry-level and compact segments. Competition among mainstream passenger car brands was relatively tight, with Mitsubishi Motors (71,781 units), Suzuki (66,345 units), and Honda (56,500 units) posting comparable volumes throughout the year. Chinese brands continued to gain attention, led by BYD with 46,711 units and Chery at 19,391 units, reflecting growing consumer interest in electrified and value-oriented vehicles. In the commercial vehicle space, Mitsubishi Fuso and Isuzu recorded similar wholesales at 25,235 units and 25,121 units, respectively, while Hyundai (HMID) distributed 19,007 units. Overall, the Others category contributed 92,488 units, highlighting the broadening landscape of Indonesia’s automotive wholesale market in 2025.
