JAKARTA– Several car makers have invested in building manufacturing facilities in Indonesia. They produce a number of models, mostly for the domestic market and some for export. Exports of motor vehicle from Indonesia reach around 80 countries in several regions, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South America, and some regions of Africa. A series of negotiations have been made between some parties in Indonesia and Australia to build a pathway for car export from Indonesia to Australia.
