JAKARTA— The Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO) confirmed that the 2026 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) will remain unchanged for 2026. GIIAS 2026 will remain at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) Building in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang (Banten).
GAIKINDO Chairman Jongkie Sugiarto stated that GIIAS 2026 will follow the pattern of previous years. “This year, we’re staying at ICE BSD City. We don’t know about next year,” Jongkie said in Jakarta on February 9, 2026.
GIIAS 2026 is projected to once again be the largest automotive exhibition in Southeast Asia. The exhibition is scheduled to run from July to August 2026. GIIAS 2026 will also focus on environmentally friendly technology and world premiere product launches.
Previously, speculation arose that GIIAS 2026 might move to a new location at the Nusantara International Exhibition Center (NICE) in PIK 2, North Jakarta. The location is reportedly being prepared as a large-scale exhibition center capable of accommodating international events.
Regarding the possibility of GIIAS moving to the PIK area, Jongkie could not confirm. He stated that everything is still open, depending on the readiness of the most suitable location. (KOMPAS)
