Officially Launched; GIICOMVEC 2026 Exhibition Supported by Sponsors Sailun, Pertamina, and Lalamove

JAKARTA— The GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) 2026 business-to-business (B2B) exhibition for commercial vehicles officially opened on Wednesday, 8 April 2026. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, represented by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Eko SA Cahyanto. He was accompanied by the Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment, and Electronics (ILMATE), Setia Diarta; GAIKINDO Chairman Putu Juli Ardika; and Anton Kumonty, Executive Chairman and Chief Organizer of the GAIKINDO Exhibition and Conference.

With the full support of the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Transportation, GIICOMVEC 2026 will run for four days until April 11, 2026. The exhibition will occupy a new, more strategic location at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) in Kemayoran (North Jakarta). In his opening remarks, Eko SA Cahyanto congratulated and expressed his appreciation to GAIKINDO for the return of GIICOMVEC 2026. He stated that the exhibition emphasizes the importance of cross-sector synergy in strengthening the national automotive industry.

Through GIICOMVEC 2026, he hopes to foster closer collaboration between the government, industry players, associations, and all stakeholders. “This synergy is a crucial foundation for strengthening the industrial structure, increasing efficiency, and developing adaptive and sustainable commercial vehicle technology,” Eko said.

He also hopes the exhibition will have a tangible impact on the national distribution system.

Putu Juli Ardika stated that the commercial vehicle industry is a key driver of public mobility and goods distribution, maintaining economic stability. He emphasized the importance of innovation in this sector to maintain national growth momentum. According to him, GAIKINDO is fully aware that maintaining the momentum of national economic growth requires the support of commercial vehicles that are not only robust but also efficient and adopt future technologies.

“The GIICOMVEC 2026 is designed as a platform to explore the latest commercial vehicle solutions and business opportunities in one place, bringing together the domestic industry with professional buyers,” said Putu.

The GIICOMVEC 2026 is attended by a total of 14 commercial vehicle brands from various categories, ranging from light commercial vehicles, medium trucks, heavy-duty trucks, to buses and specialty vehicles. These include Daihatsu, DFSK, Farizon, Ford, Foton, Hino, Isuzu, JAC Motor, Mitsubishi Fuso, Sany, Suzuki, Toyota, Wuling, and Guangzi Auto. In addition, more than 35 supporting industry brands are also participating, showcasing their latest innovations, from bodywork technology and spare parts to digital fleet management systems. The presence of these participants makes GIICOMVEC 2026 a comprehensive platform for addressing efficiency and modernization solutions in the commercial vehicle sector.
